UTSAHO (Urban Touch Social Ability Habituate Organisation) is a non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit voluntary organization dedicated to the holistic development of underserved communities in Kushtia, Bangladesh. Established on 15 June 1994, UTSAHO was born out of a deep concern for the social, educational, and economic challenges faced by rural populations—especially the poor, elderly, women, and youth.
We believe that real change begins at the grassroots level—through unity, awareness, and action. Our name, “UTSAHO,” reflects our core philosophy: to inspire enthusiasm (“উৎসাহ”) for a just, inclusive, and dignified society.
Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to:
- Promote social solidarity and harmony among different groups
- Offer free medical support and rehabilitation to the poor and disabled
- Encourage education and literacy, especially among women, children, and disadvantaged youth
- Create employment opportunities through vocational training and micro-enterprise support
- Raise awareness on health, hygiene, family planning, and women's rights
- Prevent child labor, promote youth leadership, and protect human dignity
Our organization operates through a structured membership system and is governed by three key bodies: the General Council, Executive Committee, and Advisory Council. These bodies ensure democratic participation, transparency, and accountability in all our decisions and programs.
We are not just an NGO—we are a movement for transformation, a community of changemakers dedicated to building a future where no one is left behind.
